The Great Pizookie Mystery
If you have ever visited the restaurant and brewery chain BJ’s, then you are undoubtedly familiar with the legendary “pizookie” desserts.
A hot, freshly baked cookie, topped with ice-cold, creamy ice cream, which steadily melts onto the cookie concoction. It is heaven in a pizza pan.
To my pleasant surprise, on my last visit to BJ’s, I requested nutrition information and was presented with a supplement to the menu with a complete run-down of all the delicious offerings. Perfect, I thought. I’m going to enjoy my pizookie and know exactly what I’m eating.
To add to my delight, I learned that the restaurant is now offering a Pizookie Trio: three mini-pizookies, perfect for sharing with a small group.
Here’s the mystery:
1000+ for one, full-sized pizookie. That’s pretty straightforward, right?
583 calories for the Pizookie Trio. Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
…Is that the whole trio? Or just this little guy?
Enquiring minds need to know! 583 calories for three cookies + three scoops of ice cream seems low. I have written to BJ’s Customer Service and tweeted them, and currently I am awaiting their response. In the mean time…

What is your best guess about the Pizookie Trio? I need help solving The Great Pizookie Mystery!
ETA: BJ’s has spoken, “The nutrition info listed is for one pizookie, 1/3 of the order.”
As there is no mention of serving size on the menu, I feel this needs to be better labeled. Thanks, BJ’s, for getting back to me!

I’ve only been to BJ’s once, and I did not know about pizookies! They sounds delicious… And if you share one with a few people, it’s a very “doable” dessert…
My guess would be that 583 is for one mini pizookie…
I have never been to BJ’s, but those look amazing. I am guessing 583 for 1- unless they are like Chips Ahoy-sized!
Yeah that doesn’t look right….I’d say is the 500+ for each dessert!
I’d say it’s just for one, since it looks like about half the big one. That’s pretty misleading, really!
Sounds HEAVENLY. I love a warm chocolate chip cookie dripping in vanilla ice cream. ((SWOON)). My guess is 583 PER dessert. But still, that’s not so bad for a decadent indulgence. Plus, if you share it with someone, it’d be even less!
I didn’t know pizookies were real things! I thought they were some random blog-world invention. I guess that’s what I get for not having a BJs in my area… the trio looks wonderful! there are no calories in small bites or tastes

Note that DailyBurn requires total fat, and since only Sat. Fat was specified, I had to estimate. I thought it would be easier to estimate protein. At 7g, that would leave 34g for fat.
pizookie is heavan on a plate.. has to be the best dessert ever…Love to get a half and half… and share with the hubby… the trio also sounds wonderful.. just had a mini pizookie for a birthday ( shower gift for expecting baby from the waitress) it was wonderful the perfect size…
