Fast Food for a Day
All this talk about fast food has me thinking: could I go a whole day eating at grab-and-go restaurants and stay under a reasonable amount of calories? Could I eat veggies and fiber? Could I enjoy tasty food while doing it?
I’ve done a little research and have come up with the following “Fast Food for a Day” menu, should I ever need it:
Breakfast:
I’d grab an egg white veggie flatbread sandwich from Dunkin’ Donuts. These babies look delicious and they are only 290 calories, but still have 11g of protein. Heck, I could even add a “Latte Lite” for 80 more calories.
I’m a Subway junkie. I might go with a 6-inch veggie delite sandwich and a bowl of their tomato garden vegetable soup. All this is only 320 calories and 8g of fiber! Alternatively I could grab a salad from Taco Bell; the chicken fiesta salad looks pretty tasty for 463 calories 770 calories. <–Thanks to reader Amanda for pointing out this oversight!
I’ve never visited Boston Market, but I’d give their 1/4 rotisserie chicken (white meat, no skin, thank you) with new potatoes and steamed vegetables. Only 440 calories and 55g of protein for all this!
Dessert:
I’d hit up McDonald’s for a taste of my childhood and get a soft serve vanilla cone (150 calories).
Total calories: 1730. Not bad for a day of fast, tasty eats!

I just wanted to let you know that the taco bell salad is actually 730 calories, not 463. 463 was just the serving size
haha
Wow, thank you for pointing that out! I’ll have to look for a lighter alternative and correct my mistake! Thanks!
